My travel companion, Horsey
For those of you who may have seen a small brown horse crop up in my blogs, I thought I had better explain.
I first met Horsey about 6 years ago. He has a human family, although if anyone is travelling and would like to take the little guy with them, they are most welcome (as long as he is looked after).
He has a facebook page, his full name is Horsey Travels.
This is my fourth trip with Horsey.
The first trip with Horsey was 2014 when we (my daughter and I) took on the Spirit of Tasmanina across Bass Strait for a 5 day trip of Tasmania.
2015, my daughter and I took him on a 7 day cruise on the Carnival Spirit to Noumea and Isle of Pines, New Caledonia. We also managed a couple of days in Sydney before and after the cruise.
Last year, I flew Athens where we met the Carnival Vista ship in Piraeus (port) and sailed to Rhodes, Malta, Sicily, Naples (Amalfi coast, Sorrento, Positano, Pompeii), Rome, Livorno (Pisa) Marseille and finishing off in Barcelona. From there we took a train to Montpellier in France before continuing to Nice and popping over to Monaco. We then flew back to Athens for a couple of days before flying home.
This year we flew in to Rome, stay a night there, on to Monterosso al Mare on the Cinque Terre, then a night in Genoa before embarkation on the MSC Magnifica. During that cruise, we visited Malaga, Spain, Casablanca and Marrakech in Morocco, Lisbon, Portugal and Barcelona before disembarking in Marseille, France. Since getting of the ship, we stayed overnight in Marseille, took the train to Nice, followed by Milan, Venice and we are currently in Florence (overlooking the Pontevecchio Bridge.
Tomorrow we are going to see the statue of David and then getting a train to Rome to stay for a couple of nights before flying back to Australia.
